Hello!

Born and raised in Vietnam until the age of 15, I moved to Singapore with the prestigious ASEAN scholarship for the last few years of pre-tertiary education. I remained in Singapore for my higher education, at Nanyang Technical University, with a full scholarship to pursue a Bachelor in Business, specialising in Tourism & Hospitality Management. After 3.5 years of working as a hotel manager in Singapore, I decided to pursue further education to expand my career opportunities. This is when my MBA experience started, from researching potential schools in the U.S. and Europe, attending MBA fairs, talking to numerous alumni and reading through a myriad of information on schools’ websites. I finally decided on INSEAD and after months of preparation with lots of help from friends and family, I was admitted with a 25% scholarship. 

 

Looking back, my one year at INSEAD was life changing - it not only honed my business acumen but also instilled in me a deep understanding of global perspectives and diverse cultural dynamics. More than that, I got to know and connect with people who have become life-long friends whom I can lean on for personal matters or career advice.  This transformative experience equipped me with a comprehensive toolkit to excel in multifaceted environments, a valuable asset I am eager to share with MBA hopefuls aiming to embark on a similar path of personal and professional growth.

 

After INSEAD, I came back to Singapore and had a career in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships and Strategy in various tech companies including StashAway, Shopee and Grab. During this period, I spent a significant amount of time building and coaching high performing teams. On the side, I also helped MBA applicants edit essays and conducted mock interviews.

 

After two decades of studying and working in Singapore, I’ve decided to come home to Vietnam and start the Viet MBA Coach, which combines my personal experience, my passion for coaching and my Vietnamese pride, to empower young talented Vietnamese professionals to showcase their full potential on the world stage.
